The 2023/2024 West Coast Rock Lobster (WCRL) recreational fishing effort is limited to 12 days between 16 December 2023 and 01 April 2024.
Fishing will be allowed as follows:
- 16 December 2023 and 17 December 2023
- 23 December 2023 and 24 December 2023
- 26 December 2023 to 28 December 2023
- 29 December 2023 to 31 December 2023
- 01 January 2024
- 01 April 2024
Rules to Remember
Only persons over the age of twelve years may obtain a fishing permit allowing the fishing, collecting, keeping, controlling, landing, transporting of, or possession of not more than four (4) West Coast Rock Lobster (WCRL) per day.
Note that the size restriction is 80mm of carapace length.
WCRL may be caught between 08:00 and 16:00 on the allowed day.
No persons catching WCRL with a recreational fishing permit may sell their catch.
