Indulge in Summer Bliss with Our Watermelon Daiquiri Delight
Hey Sunshine,
As summer unfolds, we’re excited to share a refreshing Watermelon Daiquiri recipe that will surely become your seasonal favorite. This blend-and-sip cocktail combines the cool melon flavor of fresh watermelon juice with the delightful kick of white rum.
Hopefield’s Watermelon Daiquiri Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 cups chopped seedless watermelon (about 1 kg)
- Kosher salt (Coarse sea salt and Himalayan pink salt are good substitutes for kosher salt)
- 150 ml white rum
- 15 ml fresh lime juice
- 7.5 ml agave nectar (Honey is a great substitute if you don’t have agave nectar laying about)
- Ice cubes
- Watermelon slice for garnish
Instructions:
- Process chopped watermelon in a blender until smooth, about 30 seconds.
- Pour processed watermelon through a fine wire-mesh strainer into a medium bowl to yield 375 ml (1 1/2 cups) watermelon juice (enough for 8 cocktails). Discard solids. Chill juice until ready to make cocktails.
- Salt half the rim of a chilled glass.
- Add white rum, lime juice, agave nectar, and 3 tablespoons watermelon juice to a cocktail shaker filled three-fourths of the way with ice.
- Cover and shake vigorously until well combined, about 10 seconds.
- Strain into the coupe glass. Garnish with a watermelon slice.
Savor the taste of summer with every sip!
